    Tutorial Group Teacher

    This is a general hospital serving the surrounding communities. Average daily in-patient numbers range from 60-70 and outpatients around 130. Main medical activities include general medicine and surgery orthopaedics paediatrics and maternity. An Emergency Room is open all hours. There are associated programs a nursing school mental health work and community-based rehabilitation.

    From October 2022 we need a primary school teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a new tutorial group. Initially there will be one student aged 5 from Australia ready to start from February 2023. With the existence of a tutorial group there is the possibility of more families coming to serve at the hospital in the coming years. The sending organisation has had such tutorial groups for many years. They support expatriate appointees working in their programs. There has not been such a group in this location for many years.

    The Tutorial Group teacher will teach in English. Qualified primary school teachers are welcome. A Masters qualification is also required to qualify for a visa and work permit.

    Paediatrician

    Started as a community health and development project this organisation has expanded to include a 150-bed hospital training for midwives and nurses a research hub and an English-speaking school for children up to grade 10. The project has holistic approach which seeks spiritual physical social and emotional transformation.

    The hospital has a very busy paediatric department with over 2500 deliveries per year and a busy outpatient and inpatient unit for general paediatrics as well as an inpatient and outpatient unit for disabled children. They are looking for a Paediatrician to eventually replace the existing long-term consultant in ensuring a quality service for the rural poor and helping give clinical leadership to a team of 3 senior and 2-3 junior national doctors. A senior trainee would also be suitable and would find an extended stay (several months) stimulating and fulfilling.

    Doctors are needed who are prepared to meet clinical needs as they arise as well as contribute to training. Those with research interests will find opportunities to work on existing projects.

    Finance Director

    This is a senior position in the organisation. The Finance Director is responsible for the provision of efficient effective and high quality integrated financial services to all components of the organisation. The Finance Director works closely with other department directors and program managers to fulfill the goals and objectives of the project. The Finance Director is accountable for the financial operations of the organisation to include the development of a financial strategy and the on-going development of monitoring control systems designed to preserve organisational assets.

    The Finance Director is responsible for the accounting operations of the organisation working with and through national staff to produce accurate financial reports and increasing understanding of a system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk enhance the accuracy of reported financial results and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards. The position is responsible for planning executing and reporting on operational financial regulatory and compliance (internal and external audits).
