Community

When He walked the earth, Jesus formed and empowered a community of disciples whom he called to share God’s love with the world. The Church is a continuation of the community that Jesus formed. Today it is a global family of many cultures, nations and languages. In John 17, Jesus prays for the Church, that “all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you.”

As a part of the global Church, Interserve is an international community that affirms God’s culture-rich creation, and wants to see transformation of lives and communities in Jesus’ name.

We serve in partnership with many others to share the Good News in word and action among the peoples of Asia & the Arab World wherever they are.

Interserve’s Global Family

We are a community of followers of Christ from all over the world, working together for the glory of God.

People from every nation are loved by God, and people from every nation have unique gifts and roles to play in his Kingdom. Interserve workers come from over 20 countries; from South and North America, Europe, Africa, Australasia and Asia.

Interserve teams seek to serve local churches in appropriate ways wherever they are in the world. In some cases, churches will send workers to other countries through Interserve. In others, Interserve will seek to serve churches as they reach out in their local contexts.

Wherever they serve, Interservers work together in teams, supporting one another in prayer and providing accountability and advice. There is so much we can learn from each other’s cultural perspectives that can enrich all of us. All teams throughout the Fellowship are supported by an international team, who also provide oversight.
