People for the hard places

REPRESENTING JESUS AMONG THE PEOPLES OF THE UNSEEN ¼ OF THE WORLD

EQUIPPING THE LOCAL CHURCH TO REACH OUT CROSS-CULTURALLY

USING OUR SKILLS AND PASSION TO BRING LASTING CHANGE

Go Overseas

WHERE WOULD YOU GO IF YOU COULD GO ANYWHERE?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO? THE BIBLE IS A MISSION MANUAL AND THE CHURCH IS A MISSION COMMUNITY. THE CHALLENGE IS FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN TO BE INVOLVED. FOR MANY THIS MEANS TAKING A STEP OF FAITH AND JUMPING INTO THE DEEP-END BY GOING OVERSEAS.

Interserve's priority area: the unseen 1/4. To read more about it visit our issues page

Make a Difference in Great Britain

GETTING INVOLVED IN CROSS-CULTURAL MISSION NO LONGER MEANS THAT YOU NEED TO TRAVEL OVERSEAS. MANY FEEL CALLED TO REACH OUT TO COMMUNITIES IN THE UK WITH WORDS AND ACTIONS OF GRACE AND TRUTH.

We have 35 full time and 18 associate workers established in Great Britain. The team models for British Christians ways to enable Asian and Arabised people to hear, understand and respond to the gospel, in culturally appropriate ways.

NEED A HAND?

Are you already working cross-culturally and need some help?

Also, consider linking into Interserve's experienced network to help your ministry.

CHURCHES

Acts 1:8 tells us that mission goes from here to everywhere. We believe that most churches are engaged in local mission but that many need a little help when it comes to cross-cultural or international mission. We would like to help. We have lots to offer churches wherever you are up to in your mission journey.

Why Get Involved?

IF THE WORLD WAS 100 PEOPLE:
20 WOULD LIVE IN A SLUM
42 WOULD NEVER HEAR ABOUT JESUS
49 WOULD LIVE ON LESS THAN £1.50 A DAY

Gospel

Preaching good news to the poor (Luke 4:18a)

42% of the world's poulation has no access to the gospel and unless something changes will live and die without ever hearing the Good News about what Jesus did for them. We believe that everyone deserves to know and experience Jesus' love.

Poverty

Freedom for the prisoners (Luke 4:18b)

Poverty affects people in many ways and can be measured by finances, education, liberty, relationships and hope. Families can be trapped for generations, feeling hopeless and out of control. We work to bring freedom and  release for the poor and oppressed.

Healing

Recovery of sight for the blind (Luke 4:18c)

Often hidden away, the sheer volume of people who are sick, disabled or injured is not immediately apparent when visiting developing countries. Shame and fear surround disabilities and treatable conditions remain uncared for.

There are so many reasons why we are passionate about mission

Hope takes root in Nepal

Monsoon rains drench the village of Ghyangphedi, Nepal on a warm July night. The unrelenting storm forms a backdrop for the story of hopelessness recounted by one who calls this village home.

Interserve is one of many players in God’s mission to bring the good news about Jesus to the nations. The needs are great and there is much to do. What part can you play in this vital work?
