NEPAL RELIEF FUND

Nepal has been hit by a 7.9 magnitude earthquake. We’ve got partners on the ground working for the relief and recovery of those in need. The partners are delivering relief supplies to the least developed areas and ministering to those who have lost everything. You can be a part of the recovery in Nepal, by giving towards our relief efforts.

The world appears to be shaken by the violence of ISIS or the Taliban while the church under pressure is a growing unreported reality. Mission in a Turbulent World goes behind the scenes to inspire you about what God is doing and build your faith for the remaining unreached in the most resistant places on earth.

Go to Asia and the Arab World

IF YOU COULD SERVE IN MISSION ANYWHERE, WHERE WOULD YOU GO?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO? THE BIBLE IS A MISSION MANUAL AND THE CHURCH IS A MISSION COMMUNITY. THE CHALLENGE IS FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN TO BE INVOLVED. FOR MANY THIS MEANS TAKING A STEP OF FAITH AND JUMPING INTO THE DEEP-END BY GETTING INVOLVED IN MISSIONARY WORK IN ASIA OR THE ARAB WORLD .

Interserve's priority area: the unseen 1/4. To read more about it visit our issues page

Cross Cultural Mission in Great Britain

GETTING INVOLVED IN CROSS-CULTURAL CHRISTIAN MISSIONARY WORK NO LONGER MEANS THAT YOU NEED TO TRAVEL TO ASIA AND THE ARAB WORLD. THERE ARE MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO REACH OUT TO COMMUNITIES IN GREAT BRITAIN WITH WORDS AND ACTIONS OF GRACE AND TRUTH.

We have 36 full time and 21 associate workers established in Great Britain, working in cities like Birmingham, London, Manchester and Sheffield. The team models for British Christians ways to enable Asian and Arabised people to hear, understand and respond to the gospel, in culturally appropriate ways.

CHURCHES

Acts 1:8 tells us that mission goes from here to everywhere. We believe that most churches are engaged in local mission but that many need a little help when it comes to cross-cultural or international mission. We would like to help. We have lots to offer churches wherever you are up to in your mission journey.

Why Get Involved?

IF THE WORLD WAS 100 PEOPLE:
20 WOULD LIVE IN A SLUM
42 WOULD NEVER HEAR ABOUT JESUS
49 WOULD LIVE ON LESS THAN £1.50 A DAY

The Unreached

Preaching good news to the poor (Luke 4:18a)

42% of the world's population have no access to the gospel and unless something changes will live and die without ever hearing the Good News about what Jesus did for them. And 81% of these live in Asia and the Arab World. We believe that everyone deserves to know and experience Jesus' love.

Poverty

Freedom for the prisoners (Luke 4:18b)

Poverty affects people in many ways and can be measured by finances, education, liberty, relationships and hope. Families can be trapped for generations, feeling hopeless and out of control. We work to bring freedom and  release for the poor and oppressed.

Healing

Recovery of sight for the blind (Luke 4:18c)

Often hidden away, the sheer volume of people who are sick, disabled or injured is not immediately apparent when visiting developing countries. Shame and fear surround disabilities and treatable conditions remain uncared for.

There are so many reasons why we are passionate about serving God and the people of Asia and the Arab world in mission

Funding from short term mission

By Alastair McIver, 29th May 2015

All is not always what it seems when it comes to the funders of mission…or donors, which is what we fund-raisers like to call them.

Rahul is a young man with a big smile, and a big sense of ambition concerning his future. But things were not always looking this hopeful for him or his family.

Interserve is one of many players in God’s mission to bring the good news about Jesus to the nations. The needs are great and there is much to do. What part can you play in this vital work?
