Love Changes Everything - The Annual Conference 2010

Swanwick Conference

“Love changes everything” is the theme for Interserve’s 2010 Swanwick Conference, focusing on the ways in which Interserve Partners seek to bring transformation to lives and communities around the world by demonstrating God’s love in word and deed. This will be a time to learn more about the work of Interserve, to pray for Interserve Partners, and to be encouraged and excited by some of the amazing things happening around the Interserve world.

Speakers will include Ruth Dearnley (of Stop the Traffik coalition), Ian McCammon (Director of Interserve, Ireland), and Basil Scott (Interserve Home Partner working with asylum seekers in the UK). On the Saturday, we will be running three streams: wholism (led by Ian McCammon), trafficking (Ruth Dearnley) and immigration/asylum-seekers(with Basil Scott). Ruth Dearnley Ruth is married to Mark, an Anglican vicar and has herself studied theology and trained as a licensed lay minister in the Church of England. Her first book Getting There was a strategic book for anyone asking questions about the church – what’s it for and where’s it going? She has her own consultancy Creative Connections through which she initiates and co-ordinates original projects. Ruth is also on the Spring Harvest Leadership Team. She speaks at conferences and events around the country and we are delighted that she has accepted our invitation to speak at our conference in 2010.
