Our history... our passion

Since its beginnings in India in 1852. Interserve has developed into a global and nondenominational community. We are passionate Christians serving the peoples of Asia and the Arab World, including those in Britain, by bringing the good news about Jesus in word
and action.

This is a work rooted in a clear vision of God’s unique justice and compassion for the world he created. This is what drives us to get involved in the world that he cares about so much.

This common vision inspires us to empower the poor, serve the sick, support the disabled, give voice to the voiceless, major on the marginalised, tell good news about Jesus and help build the church.

To this end Interserve places people who have a professional or practical skill, into some of the most challenging places on earth – including the UK. Where we work, 66,000 people are dying every day without hearing the good news about Jesus. There are vast numbers of people and only small numbers of Christians, yet only a tiny fraction of the mission effort is focussed on this needy part of the world. The scale of the task is breathtaking.
