What is Urban Vision?
Urban Vision is the cross-cultural ministry arm of Interserve (England & Wales). It is a network of Interserve Partners and Associates who are serving the peoples in the UK whose cultural roots lie in the geographical zone of Interserve worldwide.
• Urban Vision understands mission to be ‘any endeavour outside the needs of the local congregation to fulfill the Great Commission by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, baptising and making disciples, while relating to the needs of the total person – spiritual, physical, emotional and social.’ (Rev Dr John R W Stott)
• Urban Vision uses its expertise to support the local church in the practice of wholistic mission which embraces both evangelism (i.e. “Word” - calling people into relationship with God through Jesus Christ) and action (i.e. “Work” – relating to the whole need of people, including community transformation).
