Employed Partners:
Urban Vision Partners who are employed by Interserve are called ‘Employed Partners’. These raise financial support on a personalized basis; the target support level is set by Interserve. This includes the appropriate salary scale plus 20% for “Team Support”.

Team Support amounts to a £500 annual fee, which covers …
i) Nat. Insurance contributions
ii) a pension provision
iii) administration of employed status
iv) production, postage & packing of mailings inc office time
v) admittance to Team Days
vi) paid admittance to the annual Interserve Conference, with Urban Vision track
access to the advice, information and resources of the network

Employed Partners are subject to the terms and conditions of an employment contract as outlined in the Interserve Staff Handbook.

However, some Urban Vision Partners receive an income and line-management from another employer; they may even be self-employed. Regardless of employment status, they choose to be accountable to Interserve.
Nevertheless, they are supported in their work, spiritually, morally and pastorally, from within the community of Interserve England & Wales, through Urban Vision.

Independently Financed Partners:
Urban Vision Partners who are employed from an outside source or who have a private income are called ‘Independently Financed Partners’ (IFPs). These people share, with Overseas and Employed Partners, a full sense of commitment to the worldwide family of Interserve.

Independently Financed Partners are employed outside of Interserve. They are working in highly multi-cultural UK settings in which they feel the need of belonging to a wider network.

Urban Vision IFPs may have served as Interserve Partners overseas before joining Urban Vision, while others join Urban Vision directly.

Urban Vision IFPs pay a one-off fee for a weekend UK-based orientation course. They are also welcome, if they so choose, to join a ten-day international orientation to Interserve Fellowship, at their own expense.

Urban Vision IFPs also pay an annual fee of £500 per individual. This covers …
i) production, postage & packing of mailings inc office time
ii) admittance to Team Days
iii) access to an area Cluster Group
iv) paid admittance to the annual Interserve Conference, with Urban Vision track
v) access to the advice, information and resources of the network
