Country Conference

Interserve 2012 Contry Conference

More than 80 people attended the first ever England and Wales Country Team conference in Hemel Hempstead at the end of April. The delegates included the UK Based Partners, some Council members and staff.

David Smith reflected powerfully over two days on Paul’s letter to the Romans and reminded us that this was a letter to what was most likely a poor, urban city church.

Steve Bell delivered a paper on the changing paradigm in mission, a pre-cursor to ‘break out’ groups on the Saturday. Also on the Saturday were sessions on Fund-raising reality, our relationship with the church, and being a country entity.

On the final morning, the Interserve Chair, Tim Baynes Clarke, spoke on what Interserve might look like in the future.

All in all, it was a stimulating conference which has enjoyed very good feedback.
