Halton Tennis Centre

Halton Lawn Tennis Club hosted a members gathering in late January, 2012 at which Interserve thanked the club and its academy, the Everyball Tennis Academy, for its support of the charity’s work during 2011.

Interserve champion, Hannah Marcinowicz, a professional saxophonist who regularly plays for BBC orchestras and who has visited Interserve projects in Mumbai, performed a light programme of popular and classical tunes, and Alastair McIver hosted the event, during which it was confirmed that the club would be continuing its support for Interserve during 2012.

Mike James, Director of Tennis for Everyball, said, "It was a great evening and we are grateful to Interserve for taking the trouble to thank the club for something which we are delighted to do anyway. Saying 'thank you' through this type of quality event is unusual for a charity, but our members appreciated it. And Hannah was outstanding."

Alastair McIver, Interserve's Head of Comms, commented, "Everyball's support for Interserve began last summer, when we pioneered an event at Halton, a first in mission I would suggest. Our Ambassador, Tabitha Webb, came and performed and it was as a result of that that the club chose Interserve as one of its preferred charities to receive income. For me, it is the most natural thing in the world to say 'thank you' for such generous support and with Hannah on board now, as well as Tabitha, we have a couple of incredible professionals who help us to advocate the work that we do in a really effective way."
