Our Vision

lives and communities transformed through encounter with Jesus Christ

Our Purpose

To make Jesus Christ known through wholistic ministry, in partnership with the global church, amongst the neediest peoples of Asia and the Arab World.

Our Mission

Interserve England and Wales works to realise this vision and purpose as we build relationships with people and churches, both in England and Wales and elsewhere in the world, to enable them to participate in wholistic cross-cultural mission.

Our Aims

Above all, we aim to hear from God about what we do in order that we may be working where God is calling us to work, and placing people where they are most needed. Further to that -

1. WORKING WITH PEOPLE, we aim
a) to see more Christians, of all ages, identifying with our vision, and having a broader understanding of what involvement in world mission means,
b) to see more Christians going into cross-cultural ministry with a strong sense of God’s call, motivated to realise Interserve’s vision,
c) to see Christians from a wider range of national and cultural backgrounds involved in ministry with Interserve,
d) to have an office team that is well resourced, supported and efficient, strongly committed to quality support of people serving cross-culturally, and
e) to place people where they are most needed.

2. WORKING WITH CHURCHES, we aim
to play our part in achieving the goal of seeing every church in EWI involved in world mission, including those from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

3. WORKING IN THE WORLD, we aim
a) to move into new areas,
b) to have a greater variety of opportunities available for wholistic ministry,
c) to be involved in various ways of supporting church growth in Asia, the Middle East and North Africa and among minority groups in multicultural communities in EWI, and
d) to see multi-directional mission working.
